Lionel Fragnière

Based in Switzerland, I navigate between writing, development and photography. Specialized in GIS, GeoAI and machine learning, I build geospatial data pipelines as well as modern web applications — and I tell stories, whether through code, words or the lens.

I’m currently writing my first novel, Monthey sous pression, and developing solutions combining artificial intelligence and geospatial analysis.

My first novel, rooted in Monthey.

A river of lava is normal. A pipe sweating cold, much less so.

At the foot of the mountains, the factories run day and night, and zeppelins moor on the roof of the Crochetan theatre. Carnival is approaching. Floats are being built, the guggen bands are rehearsing, and everyone is preparing for the Great Venting, the night when the town opens its valves to release the pressure.
